Brooke with donations

As the 2025 Young Women with Bright Futures nominee, senior Brooke Bosheff has dedicated her leadership project to helping those in need. For the past few weeks, she has collected toiletries outside the high school office from generous student and staff donors. Her goal was to collect 450 items to earn an extended lunch. She collected over 2000 items, 608 of which came from McDonald High School.

When asked about her experiences as the 2025 Young Women with Bright Futures nominee, Brooke said, “I attended leadership sessions at the YWCA with other young ladies from the area. These sessions are about building a strong sense of self-empowerment and leadership.” The donations that she has raised are going towards helping the homeless and those in low-income housing. Brooke plans to continue to take the initiative in her community and to help anywhere she can.
